Rajnikant Narone (Rajni) is an AI upskilling consultant and product builder in Bengaluru — 25+ years in software, embedded systems and automotive engineering, now spent building AI products and helping engineering teams put AI to real use.
I build with the same AI coding assistants and CLIs I teach — Cursor, Gemini CLI, Claude — because a tool I have not used myself does not belong in front of someone else's workflow. That instinct for building things that run took me from cars into software, and now into AI products, from a desk in Bengaluru.
For most of a career in software, embedded systems and automotive engineering, my job was making sure electronic control units did exactly what a vehicle needed — electronic power steering, virtual cockpit and instrument-cluster software, body control, blind-spot detection, passive entry and immobiliser systems. I worked as an engineering manager in automotive ECU software, on programmes run with OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers and engineering teams spread across countries, inside AUTOSAR architectures, CAN and LIN networks, automotive Ethernet, and the discipline of MIL, SIL and HIL testing — where a defect does not just crash an app, it can end up inside a car on a road. I mentored engineers on system architecture, test design and validation, and pushed manual test activity toward automation wherever a programme allowed it. In 2024 I founded EmbedAI to do full time what I had already been doing on the side: turning AI from a workshop slide into something that actually runs. Since then I have built a multi-tenant trading platform, a manufacturing knowledge and defect-inspection toolkit, a furniture design-to-cut-list configurator, a coaching-video analysis system, and a set of personal knowledge and productivity tools — each one an answer to a specific problem, not a demo. That habit of building now sits underneath every workshop and bootcamp I run: I do not put a claim about AI adoption on a slide without having tried it myself first, in a way an engineer who has shipped safety-relevant software will recognise as honest.

Every engagement follows the same arc: awareness, experimentation, build, deploy, transform. It starts wherever a team actually is — a keynote, a one- or two-day workshop, a multi-week bootcamp, a project-based programme, leadership coaching, a capability assessment and roadmap, or a mentored pilot — and moves to the next step only once the current one has produced something real: a working prototype, a documented roadmap, or a team that can keep going without me in the room.
