Paper-first algorithmic trading you can test before it is real

EquiSmart lets a trader run a strategy against live Indian market data with real money never at risk unless they explicitly turn that on.

The problem

Algorithmic trading tooling for Indian markets is built either for institutions or for signal-selling, and both default to live money. The safe option — run the strategy against the real market and watch what it would have done — is the one that is hardest to buy.

What the portfolio proves

Building a multi-tenant SaaS with market-data ingestion, a scheduled strategy engine, broker integration, a live screener, and a safety default of paper trading rather than automated live-money execution.

How the projects fit together

EquiSmart (In use) is the one carded project behind this vertical. It carries the heaviest automated-test evidence in the portfolio: 189 passing backend tests and a 15-second strategy tick. A screener and a terminal chart sit alongside the strategy engine. No second carded project supports this vertical, so it stands on this one build.

What I can do here

The same engineering discipline — scheduled systems, broker integration, safety defaults — is what a fintech product team evaluating multi-tenant trading infrastructure would be buying through the Services offer.

How mature this is

This vertical rests on one project. It is an active build, not a concept, but the page must not read as a portfolio of fintech work, and live order placement is opt-in and off by default — the copy says paper-first every time.

Paper-first algorithmic trading for Indian markets, with a live screener and broker connect.

Retail traders lack an affordable, paper-first way to test and run algorithmic strategies on Indian markets.

A multi-tenant SaaS that connects to a broker for paper-first trading strategies, runs an NSE stock screener, and shows a live trading-terminal chart.

  • A scheduled strategy engine ticks every 15 seconds.
  • Live order placement needs an explicit opt-in flag and is off by default, so the platform's default behaviour is strategy testing, not automated live-money trading.
